What a crazy Saturday in college football, especially in the SEC.
After witnessing the results of a few of those SEC contests, I'm afraid to make any NFL predictions.
Who thought Auburn over Arkansas didn't look look like a sure bet ?
Now, I'm not so sure I can predict with confidence that the Indianapolis Colts would defeat St. Luke's Middle School of Peoria, Illinois...
If someone had forecasted to me that the suffocating defenses of Auburn, LSU, & Georgia would yield a combined 101 points among the three of them---and on top of that, all three teams would lose---I would have said that person was either drunk, or just another left-winger who didn't know what they were talking about.
I was 9-5 in my NFL picks last weekend, bringing my season total thus far to 37-23.
As I mention each week, I'm picking 'win' or 'lose' straight up, rather than picking the point spread. I merely provide the point spread for fun.
My picks to win are in bold.
at Indianapolis 18 1/2 Tennessee
at N.Y. Giants 4 1/2 Washington
at Minnesota 6 1/2 Detroit
at New Orleans 6 1/2 Tampa Bay
St. Louis 3 at Green Bay
at New England 10 Miami
at Chicago 10 Buffalo
at Carolina 8 Cleveland
at Jacksonville 7 N.Y. Jets
Kansas City 3 1/2 at Arizona
at San Francisco 3 1/2 Oakland
at Philadelphia 2 Dallas
at San Diego 3 1/2 Pittsburgh
Monday nite
at Denver 4 Baltimore
Cincinnati, Seattle, Houston, and Atlanta all have a "Bye" week and do not play.
